More on the Airline Industry's Troubles
Keith Alexander of the Washington Post paints a bleak picture of three airlines - United, US Airways, and Delta - struggling to keep their collective corporate heads above stormy bankrupt waters (and I promise, that's the end of the bad metaphors - there's a reason I'm not a novelist, and I just reminded myself what it is). Is US Airways headed for "Chapter 22"? Is United ever going to make headway with its workers' unions? And if it does, is it going to be enough? And will Delta find a way to cut costs without hurting its ability to operate at some basic level? Stay tuned...
