FAA to Act Against Chicago for Meigs Closing

The FAA issued a press release last week announcing it would pursue legal action against the City of Chicago for failure to comply with the notice requirements prior to closing Meigs Field in 2003. The agency said it will also investigate whether revenue was impermissibly diverted in deconstructing the runway and turning Meigs into a City park.
